Work with me
There are different ways we might work together.
Much of my writing begins with a question: what might ancestral ways of understanding people, relationships, and community teach us about the way we work and lead? That question guides my professional practice too.
Sometimes the work happens in a conversation between two people. Sometimes it happens in a room full of colleagues. And sometimes it begins with learning to understand one another across cultural difference. Here are three ways we might begin.
01
Executive Coaching
The Ancestral Way
Leadership can be a lonely place to ask difficult questions.
Coaching with me is a space to reflect on your experiences, work through professional challenges, look at the relationships that shape your leadership, and consider different ways forward. I bring my experience in coaching and organizational life together with a perspective informed by ancestral healing practices.
Every coaching relationship begins with understanding the person, not prescribing a solution.
02
Bring Your Curandero to Work
Speaking, keynotes, and facilitated conversations
What if some of the wisdom we need to build healthier workplaces has been with us for generations?
Through talks, workshops, and facilitated conversations, I invite people to reconsider how culture, healing, leadership, and work relate to one another. I draw on ancestral healing traditions and my years inside organizations to question familiar assumptions and open up other possibilities.
Keynotes, conference sessions, organizational gatherings, and facilitated learning.
03
Cultural Intelligence (CQ®)
Learning to work across difference
Culture shapes how we understand the world, relate to others, communicate, and make decisions.
Cultural Intelligence helps individuals, teams, and organizations build the capacity to recognize those differences and work with them well. Through CQ® assessments, training, and organizational conversations, I help people look at how culture shapes their interactions and how they might work better with one another.
Questions
What organizations usually ask
What is a curandero, and why would I bring one to work?
A curandero is a healer. My practice is rooted in ancestral healing practices from Belize, and it starts by asking what’s actually wrong before trying to fix it. I bring that same attention to people and the cultures they work in. Burnout, grief, and disconnection don’t get solved with another webinar.
Is this religious?
No. Nobody has to believe anything to be in the room. My work draws on ancestral healing practices, but what I bring to teams is practical: how we treat each other, how we carry stress, and how we make room for the whole person.
Will you do a limpia or ceremony with my team?
Sometimes, when it’s appropriate. Traditional healing practices or ceremony can be part of an engagement by prior agreement, and participation is always voluntary. They aren’t a standard part of my work with organizations. Most bring me in to speak, coach, or facilitate Cultural Intelligence work.
What actually happens in a session?
I tell stories, ask real questions, and give people something they can use on Monday. No trust falls, no forced sharing.
Is this DEI training?
Not the kind you’re used to. I’ve worked on inclusion at Cal Poly, Teach For America, and Kimberly-Clark, and I’ve seen what doesn’t stick. My work is less about checking boxes and more about how people actually treat each other.
How do we know it worked?
We agree on what success looks like before we begin. For Cultural Intelligence (CQ®) work, we can use assessments to measure progress. For talks and workshops, I follow up to learn what landed and what people are putting into practice.
Virtual or in person?
Both. I’m based in Las Vegas and travel for in-person work.
How does pricing work?
Every organization is different, so we start with a plática, a complimentary 20-minute introductory conversation. You tell me what’s going on, we talk through what might help, and if it’s a fit, I’ll put together a clear proposal.
I want a personal healing session. Can I book that here?
Personal sessions, like limpias, live at soycurandero.com.

Let’s begin with a conversation.
Every person and organization brings different experiences, questions, and needs. Before we decide what working together might look like, I’d like to hear what brings you here.
Whether you’re exploring coaching, looking for a speaker, or hoping to strengthen cultural intelligence in your organization, you’re welcome to schedule an introductory conversation. We’ll get acquainted, talk about what you’re hoping for, and see whether working together makes sense. If it does, I’ll recommend an approach and share clear expectations, scope, and fees before anything is decided.
